Live Streaming the Annual Perseid Meteor Shower

The annual Perseid meteor shower happens as Earth passes through a stream of debris from the comet Swift-Tuttle

NASA will be live streaming from Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala. Starts at 9 p.m. EDT, 2 a.m. GMT.

The annual Perseid meteor shower is expected to peak on the morning of Monday, August 12, between 3 and 5 a.m. Most of the world, except for parts of Australia and Antarctica, will be able to see the shower.

Stargazers should be able to spot the shooting stars any time after dark, with NASA predicting up to 100 meteors per hour.
