The Islamic State: Know Thy Enemy

Today, September 11, and the day after President Obama's speech on his strategy for the destruction of the evil Islamic State, we present you with two long reads of major importance, both assigned reading for who wants to understand the historical and ideological implications.

Senator Marco Rubio commenting on Barack Obama's speech. The President's isolationism has made the world a much more dangerous place.

The first article presents an excellent analysis of the political and ideological situation. The second article is interesting from the historical perspective.

  • "The Jihad against America and How to End It"

by Craig Biddle
While Islamic terrorist groups multiply and expand throughout the Middle East—beheading U.S. citizens, attacking Israelis, crucifying Christians, raping children, seizing commercial jetliners, and promising Americans, “see you in New York”—now is a good time to recount the essential nature of the problem with respect to America and to specify what the United States should do about it. (Source

The Cloward-Piven End Game Explained

Obama's foreign policy has been so successful, the Middle East has now been entirely destabilized. Sunni and Shia terror states, Jihadists and a reconstituting Russian Empire are stepping into the vacuum of the retreating Pax Americana. At home the Cloward-Piven strategy is gathering steam

Does Anyone Know Obama's Grand Strategy on IS?

Obama's leadership on the Islamic State is in a worse shambles than usual with this administration. Over the weekend the position went from 'IS as a regional menace', to 'an imminent international threat that requires war in Syria', and back again. This is not a strategy for dealing with IS.

Over the weekend Gen. Martin Dempsey did a shocking U-turn, saying ISIS is not currently plotting or planning attacks against the U.S. or Europe.

The Islamic State in Iraq and Syria cannot be defeated unless the United States or its partners take on the Sunni militants in Syria, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Martin E. Dempsey said last Thursday.
“This is an organization that has an apocalyptic end-of-days strategic vision that will eventually have to be defeated. Can they be defeated without addressing that part of the organization that resides in Syria? The answer is no.” (Source
But on Monday Dempsey made a U-turn and said IS is no immediate threat. (Source) Actually the idea to attack IS in Syria was a major departure from the awkward contradiction of supporting IS in Syria while fighting it in Iraq. The Obama regime now appears to have returned to that position. So what is going on?

FEMEN, the Caliphate and the Morally Confused

Western, postmodern feminazis have become the decadent appeasers of the worst violators of rights that are presently in existence: Islamic male supremacists. It's a luxury the women who live in their proximity cannot afford. @FEMEN_Turkey is taking the lead with an in your face tweet

We received some criticism regarding the FEMEN picture released on Aug. 22. The choice may not have been too clever PR wise, since its 'in your face character' may have prevented some tweeps from RT it. On the other hand, if the FEMEN pic offends you more than IS does, there's something very out of whack with your morality. Eastern Europe and the Middle East are not the postmodern West; here's still mountains of work to be done here towards the equality of the sexes.

A Doctrine to Combat the Islamic State IS

The Islamic State IS is raping, pillaging, slaving, crucifying and beheading its way through the Middle East. The savagery seems to attract countless young Muslims from East as well as West. What went wrong?

Shiraz Maher, an expert in radicalization explains IS and its attraction for Muslims in the West.

Ghaffar Hussain, Managing Director at the secular Quilliam Foundation (bio) brings up an excellent point in a piece on the Telegraph without actually answering the question he poses:
It's no surprise that James Foley's murderer had an English accent. We need to counter and undermine the narrative which makes the ideology of the Islamic State attractive to some young men in Britain. (Source)
Let's break this down into two basic questions: what makes them reject the most successful philosophy in human history - Liberty - in terms of freedom, prosperity and self realization for the individual? And secondly, how come they look for an answer at the most backward, oppressive and irrational collectivist system presently known to man - the Islamic State under Sharia Law?
