FUBAR: Break the Power of Politics While You Still Can

Should junkies, crazies and the chromosomally challenged be allowed to mate? No, says a minor member of the Dutch royal family, prominently engaged in issues pertaining to matters of 'security' *WTF!* Dozens of their offspring die each year from neglect and abuse. Politicians want to do something about it, mandating the use of contraceptives for these patients, but they see the difficulties ahead  *NO?!*

One doesn't need better proof that power can't be entrusted to politicians *revokes confidence* When popular opinion swerves to liberalism, unrealistic entitlements of sex and family are foisted on these citizens. In the Netherlands during the eighties and nineties of the last century these rights were actively promoted through the services of prostitutes on the dime of the tax payer *it doesn't get any crazier than that, does it? Well, does it?*
When the pendulum of popular opinion swings to the other way - as is presently the case - we see a call for state pills, state condoms and state femcaps, as mandated by the Ministery of Population Management. What's next, one might ask? Forced sterilizations, abortions? Lebensraum 2? Chinese situations? Why ever not? What are the limits? *OMG* scores #Godwin1

While private initiatives in health care might provide a myriad of policies so that consumers also have a choice, the coersive state monopoly goes crescendo! Much too long we have let politicians have it their way, fixated as we are on entitlements of raw meat and marbles they are bestowing upon us in the name of "a fair share". Voters also have a duty to reign in coersive statism! *YEAH! *this may come as a surprise to some!*
While Americans are on the verge of revolt because the Obama is unconstitutionally mandating them to buy health care cover, a repressive policy like forced anticonception is flung across the table on a Friday evening on TV Pyong Yang on the North Sea. And no political party - from prog to faux lib - is sounding the alarm!

Kantians don't see the problem and that is perhaps the reason it has gotten as bad as it did. Their rebuttal is, that the Nazis did social engineering from an evil, ideological point of view; and this is why it is morally repulsive. But if done in the name of protecting children, how can it possibly be wrong? With that logic, the Holocaust is perfectly defensible, provided it is done -for example- with the aim of saving the planet. It shows, that when the aim justifies the means, gulugs and gas chambers are perfectly okay as long as it is done in the name of a 'good' cause *check 1984*

Without a Constitution that sets absolute limits on the state (the Netherlands has no Bill of Rights), its power apparently knows no bounds and the prospect of Orwell's dystopia is looming. Human autonomy will prove to be futile. Or evil is enabled through that other legitimizing bromide, a democratic compromise. As if a democracy can't turn into a tyranny or a dystopia #N.B. Corporal Hilter came  into power very democratically! 

A state that is promoting a morality in which the aim justifies the means and ethics is synonymous to altruism, belongs in steel chains with a big fat lock, the key ritually sunk to the bottom of the deep sea never to be seen again. Only then does liberty stand a chance.
