Art: George W. Bush's Unromantic Realism

A hack of several e-mail accounts belonging to the Bush clan has revealed photo's and  correspondence of a personal nature. The material was uploaded yesterday to an online account for the purpose of hosting the stuff. Read all about it on The Smoking Gun. The hacker also intercepted photos that George W. Bush e-mailed two months ago to his sister showing paintings that he was working on.
While the right wing Washington Free Beacon's headlines hyperbole G.W.'s super human skills as a states man and as an artist (Greatest Living President is Also Fantastic Painter), the British leftist flag ship newspaper The Guardian asks, do Hacked George W. Bush paintings help us inch (slightly) towards empathy? Hardly. The Bush hate psychopathology reached such hysteria over his eight years in office, there're not likely to come to terms with it for the next few centuries or so.
You probably have an opinion on Bush the statesman. But has Dubya been hiding a veritable Dürer! You be the judge!
