SYNAGOGUE REQUESTED MORE SECURITY IN JANUARY

The attack on the synagogue doesn't come as a surprise. In January the Jewish community requested help from the Government to step up security. The Minister of Justice promised an investigation. The synagogue privately deployed extra guards. It was one of them (30) that was killed in the attack last night. Due to the shooting at the free speech event earlier in the day, the guards at the synagogue were on high alert, but couldn't prevent the assault.
