(LIBERAL REVIEWS) CLINT EASTWOOD'S "15:17 TO PARIS"

In August 2015 three American marines on leave and a Briton prevented a terrorist attack on the high speed rail service from Amsterdam to Paris. France awarded them the Legion d'Honneur. Veteran Hollywood director Clint Eastwood is now casting the childhood friends to play themselves in "The 15:17 to Paris" (IMDb).

World wide release dates. From Clint Eastwood comes “The 15:17 to Paris,” which tells the real-life story of three men whose brave act turned them into heroes during a highspeed railway ride.  In the early evening of August 21, 2015, the world watched in stunned silence as the media reported a thwarted terrorist attack on Thalys train #9364 bound for Paris—an attempt prevented by three courageous young Americans traveling through Europe. The film follows the course of the friends’ lives, from the struggles of childhood through finding their footing in life, to the series of unlikely events leading up to the attack. Throughout the harrowing ordeal, their friendship never wavers, making it their greatest weapon and allowing them to save the lives of the more than 500 passengers on board.

The heroic trio is comprised of Anthony Sadler, Oregon National Guardsman Alek Skarlatos, and U.S. Air Force Airman First Class Spencer Stone, who play themselves in the film. CLINT EASTWOOD CASTS LIVE HEROES IN TRAIN ATTACK MOVIE


When Oregon National Guardsman Alek Skarlatos, Airman 1st Class Spencer Stone, and civilian Anthony Sadler tackled Ayoub El-Khazzani on a Paris-bound train to thwart a terrorist attack in August 2015, the last thing that was on their minds was that they’d be cast in a movie about it someday. But Hollywood director Clint Eastwood, a big fan of real-life heroes, is about to make it a reality, according to Fox News. A Tuesday announcement by the film’s studio confirms that the three childhood friends from California have been cast to play themselves in the upcoming Eastwood movie “The 15:17 to Paris,” which will be based on a book they co-wrote about their heroics. PARIS TRAIN ATTACK: COURAGE IS CONTAGIOUS




The three childhood friends who helped take down a gunman on a Paris-bound train say they were scared, but didn't hesitate to stop the attack.

According to Glenn Harlan Reynolds, a University of Tennessee law professor, we all need anti terrorism training. Far from giving up on "the privatization of force" as some in Europeans have it, citizens have a responsibility as first responders. It saves lives and is a natural extension of the right to self defense which is a derivative of the basic human right to life. But not unimportant, according to Reynolds it defeats the purpose of terror. But most important of all, courage is contagious!
"Three Marines stop terrorist on French train" was the gist of the first headlines on this weekend’s counter terrorism story. (...) One of the Americans, Airman 1st Class Spencer Stone, 23, sprinted at the gunman and tackled him. The others, Oregon National Guardsman Alek Skarlatos, 22, and Sacramento State University student Anthony Sadler, 23, joined in. As Skarlatos recounted in a Sky News interview from his hotel in Arras, northern France: "I just looked over at Spencer and said, 'Let's go!' (...) Americans who remember Sept. 11, 2001, this kind of response — even down to the “let’s go” — echoes the story of Todd Beamer and the passengers of Flight 93. It’s the right response, of course, to terrorists who threaten innocents. As Brad Todd wrote days after 9/11, it was the response of ordinary Americans on this flight that meant a repeat of the attacks was much less likely: “Just 109 minutes after a new form of terrorism — the most deadly yet invented — came into use, it was rendered, if not obsolete, at least decidedly less effective. ... United Flight 93 did not hit a building. It did not kill anyone on the ground. ... Why? Because it had informed Americans on board who'd had 109 minutes to come up with a counteraction. And the next time a hijacker full of hate pulls the same stunt with a single knife, he'll get the same treatment and meet the same result as those on United Flight 93. Dead, yes. Murderous, yes. But successful? No.” (...) Bureaucracies have their place, but they don’t deal well with diffuse threats such as terrorism. By the time “first responders” get there, it’s usually too late. But there’s one group of “responders” who don’t have to go anywhere, and that’s the group already on the scene. In conventional analysis, and in the terrorists’ hopes, those people are called “victims.” But as the three Americans on that French train demonstrated, victimhood isn’t the only response. And there’s more. The purpose of terror is to terrorize. But responding appropriately has the opposite effect. The response of British businessman Chris Norman, who helped subdue the attacker, illustrates this: “Norman said his first reaction was to hide," The Fiscal Times reported. "But after he saw the Americans fighting the attacker, he said he went to help them.” Fear is contagious. But so is courage. People should respond not like a herd of sheep but like a pack of wolves.

AFTER TRAIN ATTACK, BELGIUM DECLARES WAR ON WEAPONS

The Belgian Home Secretary has declared that Kahzzani was on the radar of intelligence services, but was not marked as "particularly dangerous". They don't know yet if he's a lone wolf or a member of a network. European fallacies about weapons are being applied to anti terrorism logic: arms from Eastern Europe are now "finding their way to the West", prompting Belgium to declare War On Weapons. The Schengen open borders Treaty will be subject of discussions, but no one is proposing to reimpose border controls. Because terrorists would only find other ways to enter the country. TRAIN ATTACK HERO: "MAN'S THROAT HAD BEEN SLIT"

AP: Anthony Sadler blurting out in an early interview that "a man's throat had been slit". 

UPDATE: No one till now has bothered to mention that one of the victim's throat had been slit. Anthony Sadler is mentioning it in the AP recording. Ayoub El Kahzzani was on the radar of Spanish intelligence before 2012. He dealed in drugs, radicalized and joined the Jihad in Syria. The authorities did nothing. They even gave him a residence permit. Dutch intelligence acknowledge the danger of repatriating Jihadist from Syria and say they are "being monitored and assessed individually". This is utter bullshit of course. We're talking here of hundreds of terrorists. It's imposible to monitor them 24/7... which is the excuse the authorities will bring up after each an every attack.

Authorities Baffled As To Motive For Amsterdam-Paris Train Attack


Slowly more news in emerging. Ayoub El Qahzzani was a well known self igniter, with training in Syria to go with it. The idea that security and intelligence services should be able to monitor these sons of bitches is ludicrous. Yet, that is what Europeans are led to believe by their politicians. This loser was also on the radar of the Spanish, French and Belgian agencies. They move from state to state: he lived in Spain in 2014 and in Belgium during 2015. He caught the train in Brussels.

The prompt action of the two US marines and their British companion have been lauded by everyone. The mayor of Arras has awarded them for their courage. (Source) One person is still hospitalized, but in a stable condition. In the footage (source) the terrorist is seen lying half naked in the corridor of the train.

The denial and the delusion on the part of the authorities and the media is astounding: even now they're "baffled as to motive". Nevertheless after the attack on Charlie Hebdo in Paris in January extensive scenarios and action plans have been developed. How is that possible, if the motive is 'unknown'? They're more afraid of their citizens, than they are of terrorists.

US Marines Prevent Carnage on Amsterdam-Paris Train


A 26 year old gunman of Moroccan origin has been arrested after a terrorist assault on the high speed rail service from Amsterdam to Paris. The man is on the lists of the intelligence services. The French police are treating the case as a terrorist attack. He was armed with a AK47, a automatic pistol and several knives. Two American marines heard the Jihadist loading his weapons on the toilet. They were able to prevent a carnage. One of the heroes was severely wounded when he was shot. The other marine was stabbed.

According to a spokesperson of the train operating service the attack took place after the train had left Brussels Midi station. French and Dutch security services are exchanging information. The French Home Affairs Minister, Bernard Cazeneuve is on the spot in Arras. French President Hollande promised on Twitter to investigate the matter to the bottom.
