#EGYPTAIR: HUMAN REMAINS POINT TO EXPLOSION

An EgyptAir passenger jet traveling to Cairo from Paris with 69 people on board disappeared off the radar over the Mediterranean early Thursday. EgyptAir said the plane had been 10 miles inside Egyptian airspace when it disappeared. Human remains and debris has been found off the Greek island of Karpathos. 

 UPDATE: (...) An Egyptian forensics official said 23 bags of body parts had been collected, the largest no bigger than the palm of a hand. Speaking on condition of anonymity, the official said their size pointed to an explosion, although no trace of explosives had been detected. (...) There are too few messages to fit a typical fire, which would normally trigger a cascade of error reports as multiple systems fail, he said, and too many of them to tie in neatly with a single significant explosion. Investigators will also need to understand why, for example, there was no message indicating the autopilot had cut off, progressively handing control back to the pilots as systems failed and computers became unsure what to do. PILOT IN SUICIDE OP? 


More evidence is arising to show that the pilot of Flight 804 went suicide. He did some bizarre things. He converted the plane into a makeshift mosque, used the equipment to tell passengers the direction of Mecca. Had a last supper and said “farewell” as if ‘we who are about to die salute you’. He called his brother before take-off telling him to ‘pray for him’ as he was going for martyrdom. He had connections with one of the most radical preachers and terror supporters in Egypt.

  • After the attacks in November 2015 in Paris some 59 airport personnel on Charles de Gaulle Airport have been found on terrorism lists. A handful has been dismissed, but most of them are still working there. Until we understand that we are at war, people will continue to die violent deaths and radical Muslims will continue to subvert our political and social systems.

HEAD OF FRANCE INTEL: ISIS PLANNING ATTACKS

The head of France’s internal intelligence agency has warned that the country is “clearly targeted” by the Islamic State group which could launch a “terrorist campaign” of bombings in places where big crowds gather. DGSI agency chief Patrick Calvar made the comments at a hearing before a parliamentary committee on national defence on May 10, an account of which was made public on Wednesday. “We know that Daesh (Arabic acronym for IS) is planning new attacks — using fighters in the area, taking routes which facilitate access to our territory — and that France is clearly targeted,” Calvar said.   • ISIS has released its daily news bulletin on its official radio station in French, English, Arabic and Russian. There is no mention of the Egyptair plane. It's still early but at this point last Oct. 31, this same station had claimed credit for the downing of the Metrojet.



  • A Greek military official has said an Egyptian search plane located two orange objects believed to be from the missing flight, AP reports. The official says the items were found 230 miles south-southeast of the island of Crete but still within the Egyptian air traffic control area. One of the items was oblong, said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity in accordance with regulations.


2:27 a.m. Athens air traffic control tries to contact the pilots to transfer communications control from Greece to Egypt. Despite repeated calls, the pilots did not respond.

2:29 a.m. At about the same time the aircraft leaves Greek airspace, its signal drops from radar 13 kilometers (8 miles) south-southeast of Kumbi, an aviation reporting point in the Mediterranean Sea. Immediately afterward, the Greek Air Force was summoned for possible radar target tracking. But the plane has not been found.

2:45 a.m. Search-and-rescue operations begin, according to Greek officials.


  • The head of Russia’s domestic intelligence agency has said he believes the plane was brought down by a terror attack “in all likelihood”. Alexander Bortnikov, head of the Federal Security Service, called for governments to come together to track down those responsible for the “monstrous attack.”



  • British pilot Alan Carter has told the BBC he was flying a B 747 in same airspace at almost exactly the same time that the EgyptAir plane went down. He called the conditions “perfect” and said there had been no issues with lines of communications.



  • There have been sketchy reports on Twitter of ISIS claims. But these were later denied. It’s worth noting that IS claimed responsibility for the downing of Metrojet Flight 9268 over the Sinai on October 31 by that afternoon.


On board were 15 French, 30 Egyptians, 1 British, 1 Belgian, 2 Iraqis, 1 Kuwaiti, 1 Saudi, 1 Sudanese, 1 Canadian, 1 Portuguese, 1 Algerian and 1 national from Chad.

From the Brussels suburb of Molenbeek, an epicenter of Islamic terrorism in Europe, celebrations of the downing of the plane have been reported.

Crew of flight MS804 may have been receiving threats a few days ago. According to a Russian friend of the pilot a message was chalked on the body of the aircraft in Arabic saying "the next death will be flight number SU-GCC. SU-GCC is the registration number of the crashed airplane.
