Why the Peace Process Is Doomed to Fail

Hamas has made short shrift of the ongoing peace negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians. On the West Bank Islamists are accusing Abbas of 'selling out to the Jews'

"Allahu Akbar, destroy Israel, the VS, the UK and France!"

Minutes after John Kerry last Friday declared that the peace negotiations will resume this week in Washington, Hamas' leader Sami Abu Zuhri rejected the idea. Hamas made clear that the rival Fatah government of the West Bank does not have the mandate to negotiate on behalf of "the Palestinian people" in general.

UPDATED "British Muslim Women Starting Jihad Families in Syria"

Young British women, recent converts to Islam, are starting families of Jihadists and martyr wannabees in Syria

They don't stop to think about the people whose houses they took, who are now rotting away in refugee camps in Jordan and Turkey, if they are lucky

In the meantime: Al Qaeda linked extremists have taken hostage about 200 Kurdish civilians, including women and children, using them as live shields in north-eastern Syria, Russia’s Foreign Ministry has stated. Western powers supporting organizations like al-Qaeda-linked Jahbat al-Nusra are to be blamed for the situation in northern Syria.

The United States, Saudi Arabia, and Britain are actively supporting al-Qaeda-linked organizations that are ransacking and murdering women and children. “All we are hearing from London and Washington are talks about a no-fly zone and arming the very people who are killing women and children there.

And from Turkey, certainly the Turkish right wing has brought ideas of invading Syria from the north to kill more Kurdish people.” says RT's reporter Rattansi.

Civilians remain hostage after Syrian Kurds clashed with Al-Qaeda linked militants in the north-eastern Syrian towns of Tal Abyad and Ras al-Ain, along the Syrian-Turkish border over the weekend.

In these areas, there has long been confrontation between the troops of the international extremists affiliated with al-Qaeda and local Kurdish militias who stood up to protect their homes from attacks by radical Islamists.

Syrian Kurd fighters captured a rebel leader, or emir, identified as Abu Musab. In response, Al-Qaeda extremists abducted 500 civilians, including woman and children. “They started to kill innocent people by cutting off their heads,” the statement read.

“Kurds had to free Abu Musab in exchange for an agreement to release hostages.” Despite the Kurdish fighters agreed to release Abu Musab in exchange for people, about 200 people are still in the hands of extremists. The commander was freed as agreed.

The Kurdish gunmen have been fighting to expel al-Qaeda militants from the northeastern province of Hassakeh over the past week, with the battle significantly intensifying over the weekend. (Source includes video report)

Angry Bulgarians Besiege Parliament

Who knew? Since the beginning of June tens of thousands of middle class protesters have taken to the streets of Sofia, demanding the resignation of Bulgaria’s socialist-led government

They are demanding the government steps down over structural corruption, the appointment of mafiosi and the revival of communist modi operandi.

UPDATE: Protesters trapped officials inside hours before during an anti-government demonstration. Anti-riot police forced their way through a make-shift barricade before the parliament building in Sofia overnight. Within two hours, the authorities transported the roughly 109 ministers, lawmakers and journalists trapped inside to a safe location, according to Bulgarian state radio and an AFP photographer on site.
Clashes erupted when police attempted to escort officials from the building in a bus. Protesters threw bottles and stones at the vehicle, while some sat in front of it blocking its path amid shouts of "Mafia!" and "Resign!" and "Red Garbage!" Police in riot gear tried to push the protesters back in an attempt to clear a path. Local television broadcast the clashes live, showing several wounded protesters and one injured policeman.
Protesters had intended to keep up the blockade until their demands had been met. Up to 10,000 Bulgarians have taken to the streets of Sofia daily since June 14 in a bid to oust the left-leaning government. (Source)

Is America Still a Force for the Good?

The US is trying to sustain its hegemony and global support for the dollar through trade deals. Not every country thinks the US will be successful.

USAWatchDog.com's Greg Hunter goes One-on-One with the Reagan Assistant Treasury Secretary Paul Craig Roberts.

The Obama regime is trying to sustain the Pax Americana through 'trade deals' with Europe and Asian countries (minus China). This shouldn't be a problem since the US is a force for the good. Individual rights are central to the philosophy of Liberty.
