Four people got hurt today at a shoot out at the Chigi Palace, the seat of the Italian Govt. A man started shooting at the guards at close range.
The wounded are the suspect, a passer by and two guardsmen. One officer was shot in the neck. He is seriously wounded.
The event happened just as the new government of Enrico Letta was sworn in at the Presidential Palace. Tensions have been running high in Italy following inconclusive elections in February that left the nation in political deadlock.

An accord for a new coalition government was reached yesterday. It is led by the liberal Enrico Letta. There are 21 ministers in the Cabinet, involving politicians of the Letta's Democratic Party, the party of former PM Silvio Berlusconi and independents of former premier Mario Monti.
