Bowe Bergdahl To Be Charged With Desertion

Astonishingly Obama thought trading a deserter for five top GITMO enemy combatants would be a PR coup. Obama said that he had “absolutely no apologies” to make. What does Obama's pattern of promoting terrorist goals tell us about his ideology and mindset?

WHAT THE BERGDAHL CASE IS COVERING UP

Meanwhile, what is the Obama regime trying to cover up?
At the time Rolling Stone reporter Michael Hastings was killed under suspicious circumstances, he had recently written a huge exposé on Bowe Bergdahl, revealing that he had deserted his unit and actively sought out the Taliban. Hastings had also revealed Bergdahl’s anti-American sentiments, publishing the emails to his father that so shocked America: “I am ashamed to be an American…The horror that is America is disgusting.” This revelation actually came in July of 2012, when Hastings published a ten-thousand word article on Bergdahl, in which he had traveled to Afghanistan to speak to his former platoon mates, the soldiers violating their gag order to speak to Hastings anonymously. Hastings had also visited Bergdahl’s parents in Idaho, where he presumably obtained the emails. When we saw Obama pawing Bowe Bergdahl’s mother and hugging his father last week in the White House Rose Garden, this wasn’t how he was treating them in 2012. (Source)

Obama Gave Material Assistance To Taliban

National Security: Federal law prohibits any person — repeat, any person — from providing material assistance to terrorists, including human assets. But that's what the president did in releasing five Taliban commanders. When iconic interviewer David Frost asked former President Nixon about the legality of his actions in the Watergate affair, Nixon said "when the president does it, that means that it is not illegal." That's an attitude seemingly shared by the current occupant of the Oval Office. As former congressman and Afghanistan veteran Allen West points out, President Obama signed into law only months ago the National Defense Authorization Act, which makes it a crime to offer or provide any material support to terrorist groups. It makes no exception as to who and under which circumstances. (Source)

How the Taliban Got Modern Stingers from Benghazi

In his new book, “Dark Forces: The Truth About What Happened in Benghazi” (Broadside Books), writer Kenneth R. Timmerman explains how the US government’s efforts to arm the Libyan rebels backfired, flooding weapons into Syria, and as he reveals here, Afghanistan. The Obama administration isn’t only giving the Taliban back its commanders — it’s giving them weapons. Military records and sources reveal that on July 25, 2012, Taliban fighters in Kunar province successfully targeted a US Army CH-47 helicopter with a new generation Stinger missile. They thought they had a surefire kill. But instead of bursting into flames, the Chinook just disappeared into the darkness as the American pilot recovered control of the aircraft and brought it to the ground in a hard landing. The Bergdahl Case and Obama's Ideology

OBAMA SPRINGS A STRATEGIC LEAK ON BERGDAHL

Judge Jeanine expresses the anger many Americans and indeed lots of non Americans feel with Obama trading a traitor for 5 of the worst enemy combatants alive.

And then there's this interpretation of the administration's health argument:
A strategic leak by a "senior US official" confirmed to several news organizations that doctors treating Bowe Bergdahl say he was tortured and beaten by his captors. There was no leak about whether Bergdahl admitted deserting or collaborating with the enemy. (...) I was fully expecting the WH to play the torture card at some point. They are desperate to generate sympathy for Bergdahl. That doesn't mean the torture didn't happen. But we're far beyond truth or fiction in this story as it has become purely a political struggle and the administration has to find a way to flip the playing field. The White House may be preparing the ground for a presidential pardon, or even a refusal to prosecute Bergdahl. (Source)

WHY OABAMA TRADED BERGDAHL

(...) Of course, the real intent behind Obama’s spin is to take the focus off credible allegations that Bergdahl was a deserter sympathetic to America’s enemies and put it on the more sympathetic parents who just wanted their child back. But the insinuation that only his critics are guilty of politicizing this foreign-policy decision is reprehensible and ridiculous. A 2012 Rolling Stone story on Bergdahl included a quote from a “senior administration official familiar with the negotiations” who said that “it could be a huge win if Obama could bring him home.” The official added, “Especially in an election year, if it’s handled properly.” Recall that this same administration has defended itself on the Benghazi scandal by insisting that it never let election-year politics influence its foreign policy. Many analysts are convinced that Obama’s real motive in making this deal was to help him make good on his promise to close the prison at Guantanamo Bay, and thus pad his legacy. Administration officials have been hinting as much anonymously for a week. A senior Pentagon official tells the Daily Mail that the president rejected proposals to rescue Bergdahl because “the president wanted a diplomatic scenario that would establish a precedent for repatriating detainees from Gitmo.” This is in keeping with his withdrawal-at-all-cost Afghanistan policy, in which the only timetable that matters is the one driven by his personal political priorities. Obama wants out of Afghanistan before he leaves office and he needed Bergdahl home — no matter the price — to do that. (....) (Source)

MULLAH OMAR DECLARES VICTORY

Obama's Pomo "POW Swap" in Alter Reality

The latest developments make clear where Obama's narrative is coming from: the deserter/turncoat/AWOL Bergdahl is a common soldier, who "served with honor and distinction"; the Gitmo detainees are POWS; Obama has unilaterally declared the war in Afghanistan all but over, therefore a prisoner swap is the usual thing to do (which btw it isn't).

A Lousy Deal: Swapping a Deserter for 4 Terror Assets

In army circles it was commonly known Bergdahl was a deserter. Fourteen good men have lost their lives on countless missions to find and free him. (Source) Before he left to join the Taliban camp Bergdahl left a note stating he was ashamed to be an American, renouncing his citizenship and scolding his country and his fellow soldiers. The Pentagon has made sure never to refer to Bergdahl is a POW; yet we see the above celebratory scene at the White House. A classified file calls Bergdahl a collaborator. He is said to have instructed the Taliban in the art of bomb making. The four detainees from Gitmo have been hand-picked by the Taliban and were released to Muslim Brotherhood Head Quarters, Qatar. They are top kingpins.

Father Bob Bergdahl has become an expert on Guantanamo Bay’s detainees and learnt Pashtun and Urdu. Bergdahl posted a tweet last week about Guantanamo’s detainees directed at a Taliban spokesman. It came just four days before it was announced that his son was finally being released. The tweet was subsequently deleted.

The tweet has only fanned the flames in some quarters. Former GOP Rep. Allen West labeled it a potential “smoking gun.”
“Folks, this is either a very bad case of Stockholm Syndrome or something far more nefarious is at stake. Regardless, there is more to this than meets the eye of Obama making a unilateral decision and announcement on a Saturday — when he believes no one is watching.”
Bergdahl has used Twitter to stay in constant contact with his son’s supporters and sympathizers. It’s unclear why this particular tweet was deleted: A spokesman for the family told The Post on Monday that Bob and Jani Bergdahl were asked by the media about the now-missing message upon their return to Idaho from Washington. But the Bergdahls didn’t discuss it. “They just nodded their head in acknowledgement of the question, but they didn’t address [it] in their remarks,” said Col. Timothy Marsano, the family spokesman.
