Putin: "Ukraine Army is a NATO Legion"

Russia isn't entitled to any 'buffer states'. Ukraine has the right to control its own destiny. Russia has annexed the Crimea. The eastern part of Ukraine is being destabilized by separatists led by professional Russian subversists in what is known as 'Special War', a hybrid of espionage, terrorism and subversion.

UPDATE: One wonders if Putin is pershaps insinuating that Ukraine is attacking its own cities just to be able to blame Russia? His psy-ops no longer make sense. But Putin is getting away with this farce since the present crop of politicians are mindless Nihilists.

Mother of Political Correctness  Enforced in the People's Republic of Donetsk

And here we have it! The Mother of Political Correctness, Jew hatred and the Gulaghs! It's in the ideology. Non-conformists are isolated and removed from the collective which must be pure.

The website of the pro-Kyiv authorities in the eastern city of Donetsk features the photographs of dozens of local residents that have disappeared and are believed to be in the custody of the pro-Russian separatists that control parts of southeastern Ukraine around both Donetsk and Luhansk. There are many ways to end up in a separatist jail (...) increasingly, one can end up there as a result of the old Soviet-style method of denunciation. More and more cases of people detained "under the testimony of neighbors" are being uncovered. In October, a document appeared on social media that purported to be a denunciation form from the separatist authorities of Donetsk that people could use to report about "a citizen who is not worthy of occupying the honored position of a citizen of the DNR [Donetsk Peoples Republic] and needs to be isolated" and who "carried out illegal activities not in correspondence with the general policies of the Donetsk Peoples Republic and the interests of our country." Russian Libertarian: Russia is Fascist, Not Ukraine

Libertarians have fallen hook, line and sinker for Russia's President, Vladimir Putin for having the balls to stand up to the NWO establishment, the Obama police state and the EU. But that doesn't make Putin a better man, just more dangerous. He's hardly the champion of Liberty, individual rights and free enterprise. (Source)

Ukraine Security Foiled FSB Attack on Dutch Diplomats

Just when we learned the conflict in Ukraine is fairly representative of what is known as Special Warfare -- an amalgam of espionage, subversion, even forms of terrorism to attain political ends without actually going to war in any conventional sense -- Ukrainian television broke the news of a cloak and dagger story involving an attack  by Russian FSB agents on the Dutch Government delegation tasked with repatriating the remains of the people who died on downed passenger flight MH17. Misinforation and disinformation play an important role in Special War.
The Ukrainian secret service said on Tuesday it foiled a planned attack by terrorists on a Dutch government delegation to Kharkov. A terrorist group had planned the attack at the request of the Russian secret service, Ukrainian security chief Valentin Nalivaychenko is quoted as saying during a news conference. The date for the attack was in November, Nalivaychenko said. Dutch foreign minister Bert Koenders was in Kharkov on November 7 and 8. Nalivaychenko said members of a terrorist group had been arrested and their aims had ‘become clear’ during questioning. They had been trained at a camp run by the Russian security service FSB, he said.  (Source)
One of the suspects: "I was ordered to plant an explosive on the route of the Dutch delegation"
Kalashnikov shells found in a barn.
The suspect was recruited by a 'diversant' dubbed Z. They were given weapons and explosives and were ordered to hit [Dutch FO Minister] Koenders.
The woman is a Ukrainian national of Russian descent is said to have been trained by the Russian FSB.
According to the Ukrainian Security Service SBOE the explosives were discovered in a barn.
Still of Ukrainian television showing the spot where the explosives were found, left by "Russian trained terrorists".
A suspect of an earlier attack on Charkov allegedly confessed the target was the Dutch delegation.

NATO Confirms Russian Invasion of Southern Ukraine

A column of 32 tanks and other heavy weapons has entered Ukraine from Russia, the Ukrainian military said Friday, after the latest fighting left five dead and at least 31 injured. Military spokesman Andriy Lysenko said a convoy made up of 32 tanks, 16 howitzer cannons and 30 trucks of troops and equipment crossed the border into the rebel-controlled Lugansk region on Thursday. Another column including trucks and three mobile radar stations crossed another border point in the same region, he said.

Russian Invasion of Southern Ukraine Has Begun

The Russian invasion of southern Ukraine in order to take Mariupol (scroll to log on Nov. 1) has begun yesterday. APCs, tanks and other transport vehicles have been positioned in the People's Rep. of Luhansk. According to Euromaidan a convoy is on the way to Krasni Loech in the east of Ukraine. It is also reported that a Russian convoy of trucks and three mobile radar stations has crossed the border.

Ukraine Rebels Claim Victory in Elections

In a bid to democratically justify the irredentism in eastern Ukraine, the People's Republics of Donetsk and Luhansk are having elections. Morally speaking it doesn't work this way, and not even according to international law. But this is what the Russophiles will point to when held to account. The Nazi smears continue from both sides.

Did Islamic Terrorists Down Flight #MH17 Over Ukraine?

If the conflict in eastern Ukraine wasn't complicated enough, it is now a veritable conundrum with the surfacing of Islamic terrorists in the area where flight MH17 was downed. It opens up an entirely new can of worms. The answer given by the Afghan is that we're basically back in Cold War. Never mind the troubles of the Russians with the Chechens! This Muslim has come out on the Russian side out of gratitude for a Soviet education and some vague ethnic notion that causes him to sympathize with ethnic Slaves. It's an extraordinary mental construction. The Soviets cultivated their own version of internationalism: according to Marx (or was it Lenin) workers of the world were supposed to have more in common with each other than with their compatriots of other classes. The result is diversity of ethnicity and uniformity of thought. Things basically never change: freedom is still evil, (ethnic) collectivism is good.

  • German foreign intelligence said separatists fired device from Ukrainian base
  • BND believes it exploded directly next to the Malaysia Airlines aircraft
  • It had carried out detailed analysis based on satellite and other photos
  • It is first time a European Agency has openly pointed the finger at rebels
  • Separatists have so far denied all accusations that they were involved

Russia Constructs 'Mass Graves' From MH17 Bodies

This 'frozen conflict' in the making this week went a lot more ugly with Potemkin mass graves constructed out of pictures from the Chechen War and images of the victims of the crashed flight MH17.  Frankly, it's beyond contempt.
Over the past week, pro-Kremlin media have been full of stories of "mass graves" said to contain victims, including civilians, "tortured", "executed" and "raped" by retreating Ukrainian troops in and around the village of Nizhnya Krynka, 60 km from the insurgent stronghold of Donetsk. The graves are clear evidence of "war crimes", the Russian media have been saying. On 25 September, REN TV's website ran a story quoting Russian-backed insurgents as saying that "dozens" of bodies had been discovered in three graves, some with organs removed. It illustrated the story with an image of men carrying what appears to be a body bag. Four days later, REN TV's website - from which a screen grab was taken, above - reported that "bodies continue to be discovered" in areas that it said had been recently vacated by Ukraine's National Guard. The report contained an image of numerous body bags placed on the ground near to what appears to be a piece of white wreckage. But both of these images were details from photographs that had appeared over a month earlier on the website of the Ukrainian version of the newspaper Argumenty i Fakty in a report referring to MH17, which was downed over insurgent-controlled east Ukraine on 17 July. The full version of the photographs clearly shows fragments of the airliner's wreckage. (Source)

Ethnic politics: the Russification of Ukraine

According to a German politician for the Green Party thousands of Russian troops are imposing a russification program on the people in the Donbas region of Ukraine. Marieluise Beck arrived in Luhansk on Saturday. She tweeted that Russian soldiers go door to door to distribute packages of food as well as money: a 1,000 rubles per adult, 500 for minors. The Russians are also distributing passports and schools in the rebel stronghold are russified. Mosques and Ukrainian Orthodox Churches have been closed down. Priests are deported. The Russians have imposed a bufferzone of 10 kilometers. If Beck is correct, this tactic very much resembles what happened on Crimea prior to the annexation. The same playbook was in evidence in Georgia in 2008.  (Twitter)

The Russo-Ukraine Truce Doesn't Solve Anything

We've got a truce. Doesn't solve anything so, to be continued. The West is not prepared to fight for its highest values and Putin has known that for a long time. Note that those unable to think in principles, come up with subjective justifications like "Putin feels threatened'. Total nonsense! NATO is a defensive organization. But true enough, free nations may apply to join. But this is hardly 'expansionism' or aggression. The former satellites simply refuse acting like Russian buffer states. The orientation of the map is interesting though.

Ukraine Insurgents Detain 6 NATO Officials

Apparently Putin has dropped demands for Donbas statehood. But his thugs have detained 6 NATO officials, who in their judgment had no business being there. As if Ukraine isn't a free country! There Are Just "10 Russian Soldiers in Ukraine"

There are no Russian soldiers in Ukraine, according to the Russians. It's ridiculous! Volunteers, soldiers on leave and pensioners, but no military as such. This warfare is a hybrid of terrorism and guerilla. Russia is fighting a shadow war with 10 official Russian soldiers in Ukraine, according to the Russian ambassador to the EU.

Ukraine Reporting Russian Invasion

Ukraine appealed for NATO's help on Wednesday after reporting that a huge convoy of tanks and weaponry from Russia was moving through the southeast of the country. Kiev's claims came just hours after the first meeting in three months between President Petro Poroshenko and Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin failed to achieve any concrete breakthrough despite talk of a peace roadmap. The military said a convoy of up to 100 tanks, armoured vehicles and rocket launchers was seen travelling towards Telmanove, a town about 80 kilometres (50 miles) south of the main rebel-held city of Donetsk and 20 kilometres from the Russian border. Russia's Shadow War in Eastern Ukraine

With the war of irredentism going on in eastern Ukraine we are in classical Russian territory. One tends to attribute the lies to the point of manipulating reality, to the time of the Soviet Union. But even then, that didn't happen in isolation. After all, the Potemkin village dates back to Catharine II and has an interesting history in relation to Ukraine and the Crimea. Case in point, Ukraine fires on a column of Russian APC's that crossed the border which Russia says did not exist. NATO has confirmed the skirmish between Russian APC's and the Ukrainian military that fired artillery at the column, although the White House says it can't confirm the incident.

Several reports have emerged in recent days of Russian armor making a dash across the Ukrainian border and then retiring. It could be that the Ukrainian army was on the lookout for this "pulse" maneuver and apparently tried to pulverized the column. There will be a meeting in Berlin today between the foreign ministers of Russia and Ukraine to talk about the aid convoy and what to do with it. The Red Cross has volunteered to offload the supplies and put them on their own trucks, but that would deny Putin his propaganda victory so it is not likely to happen. Ukraine seems pretty adamant that the trucks will not cross into their territory so the confrontation will probably continue for a day or two at least. (Source)

NATO Chief Rasmussen: "Russian Incursion in Ukraine"

NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen said on Friday a "Russian incursion" into Ukraine had occurred overnight, but stopped short of characterizing it as an invasion. "Last night we saw a Russian incursion, a crossing of the Ukrainian border," he told reporters after meeting the Danish defense minister. "It just confirms the fact that we see a continuous flow of weapons and fighters from Russia into eastern Ukraine and it is a clear demonstration of continued Russian involvement in the destabilisation of eastern Ukraine," the Danish NATO chief said. Earlier, British reporters said they had seen Russian military vehicles crossing into Ukraine. (Source)

Russia Staging Military Exercises Near Ukraine Border

There's not a whole lot of news from the MH17 site. Forensic teams are trying to do their work around intermittent fighting. There's a real war going on. The Kiev authorities are trying to protect their citizens, as well as doing their best to accommodate the salvage teams. There's also a very fierce PR battle going on. A taste of that today.
