DEMOCRATS ARE UNFIT FOR A DEMOCRACY

Hillary Clinton had embarked on a Presidential campaign that was to be her coronation: a reward for sacrifices in her previous life as second fiddle to her husband as First Lady. This process was interrupted in 2008 when a young community organizer jumped on the scene. But 2016 was also not to be the year of the Queen of Corruption? Or is it?

UPDATE: Michael Goodwin in an item in NYPost is drawing attention to the fact how abnormal the attitude of the Democrat opposition really is. We have gotten used to it, but it is far beyond the reality how a functioning democracy is supposed to work. This is open warfare. As a measure where we are we must refer to a recent tweet by the former President of Mexico. The memes that "Hillary won the popular vote" and "the Russians hacked the elections for Trump" have done their work. Which just goes to show that you don't have to be right or win a debate, to sow the seeds of discord in any meaningful way. Whatever happens now, in the minds of the Left and the low information viewer, Trump is already an illegitimate President. Watch this very carefully.

This is a first: Donald Trump is guilty of an understatement, of making a molehill out of a mountain. He called the Washington furor over Russian hacking a “witch hunt” when it is actually far more sinister and dangerous. Witch hunts end. The Washington mob aims to make sure the election never ends and that Trump can never govern. There are no modern precedents to the scandalous attempts to smear and undermine the president-elect. Nearly nine weeks after his victory and less than two weeks before he takes the oath, the voter-nullification plot is growing more vile. It began when the Clinton campaign and her donors tried to overturn results in key states, then tried to steal the election outright by intimidating electors of the Electoral College. When all that failed, the establishment forces that opposed Trump all along — the Obama White House, members of both parties, the Democratic media and Big Government activists — switched their goal to thwarting his presidency. One example: They aim to deny confirmation to as many as eight Cabinet picks. (More)

JUDGE REMINDS 'FAITHLESS ELECTORS' OF OATH

Ever since President-elect Donald Trump soundly defeated Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election, several electors in the Electoral College have threatened to vote against the will of the people in their state to against both Trump and Hillary Clinton. One group of electors who are supposed to vote for Hillary Clinton experienced a major setback in court and one judge has reminded them that they can be replaced. The so-called “Hamilton electors” are former supporters of Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, and the group hopes to undermine the public’s trust in the Electoral College system by proving that electors are able to vote any way they choose, and that there is no legal remedy for the problem. The reality is much different. The head electors of the movement filed a motion to gain the ability to vote for any other candidate other than Clinton, a motion that was denied by the Colorado court system Monday. Denver, Col. District Court Judge Elizabeth Starrs supports state protocols for removing electors if they vote for someone other than who they are required to elect Dec. 19, according to a decision Wednesday. “If you take an oath of office and then immediately violate it, that should have consequences,” Williams told Denverite.

The judge rejected the electors’ argument, calling them “arrogant’ who have “personal desires over the entire will of the people of Colorado. And in doing so, they seek to violate Colorado law and their own pledges.” Unsurprisingly, this group of faithless electors has earned the support among Democrats, and even a Republican, Texas elector Chris Suprun. Even so, Democrats would need at least 37 electors to switch their votes and deny President-elect Trump the presidency, a feat that is nearly impossible to overcome.  (More)

DEMOCRAT PR FIRM BEHIND FAITHLESS ELECTORS

With the recount resulting in 161 extra votes for the President Elect, the operations "Faithless Electors" and "The Russians Hacked Us" are now in full swing. Check the dedicated live blog for the latest developments. In the meantime the Democrats have us once more in a moral equivalence loop: had the dirty laundry of the RNC become public, it would be just as bad as the DNC's; with the hackers in the role of the really bad guys. In the meantime no one is paying attention anymore to the content of the emails. Never mind that the RNC was never hacked. Now about the latest scheme concerning the electors. A PR firm behind the cabal is linked to the Democrats. Which brings us to another pernicious development: what used to be shady conspirators working in the shadows, are these days legitimate public relations consultants.
The public relations firm working behind the scenes with the faithless electors is rife with ties to prominent Democrats like President Obama and twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. Megaphone Strategies, whose stated mission is to “use PR as a tool to diversify progressive movements,” typically works with progressive causes like Black Lives Matter. The firm is representing the handful of “faithless electors” trying to keep President-elect Donald Trump from winning the Electoral College vote. The firm was co-founded by Van Jones, the former green jobs czar in the Obama White House who later resigned after it was revealed he signed a statement questioning whether the Bush administration had a role in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. Jones now works as a CNN commentator. Molly Haigh, Megaphone’s co-founder and president, worked for Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign. Haigh blames the Republican party’s “racist, misogynist, xenophobic fear mongering” for Trump’s rise to power. (More)
