(VIDEO) NIGEL FARAGE SPEECH IN IRELAND

The European integration project is in an existential crisis. With the populist President Trump at the helm in the US, the tide for top down, utopian social engineering has turned. Like the Soviet Union before it, any spring storm may topple the house of cards. The Eurocrats are scrambling to make reversal impossible. Democracy be damned!

EUROPEAN LEADERS TO SWEAR OATH OF FEALTY

Eurocrats want national political leaders to swear an oath of fealty.

Dutch state broadcaster NOS reported that the EU means to mark 60 Years of the Treaty of Rome with an oath of fealty to their federal cause. The eurocrats are once again showing their feudal, anti democratic colors.
By the end of March European leaders will swear a "special declaration" during the celebrations marking the 60th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome that founded the 1957 European Economic Community (EEC) as the EU was then called. The oath should be seen as a declaration of intent, like the renewal of wedding vows, diplomats explain. (NOS)
What is going on? The will of the voters is cast aside as irrelevant as political leaders swear an oath of allegiance like vassals to their feudal overlords in Brussels. They are promising the EU not to engage in policies or political programs that are contrary to the federalist agenda.

Democracy is not by accident an attribute of the nation. The political primacy emanates from the grassroots, the individual. Voters are allowing their political representatives a limited, conditional mandate to rule the polity in their stead.

The people are the root of political authority. Globalism works the other way round. To date the EU has managed to masque its tyrannical nature with optics like a fake Parliament. But on certain occasions, like with this oath of fealty the masque is dropping and its true colors come shining through.

GUY VERHOFSTADT IN ANTI TRUMP MELT DOWN

"Mr. Euro", Guy Verhofstadt threw a temper tantrum today during a 'debate' in the European Parliament. Nigel Farage in his rebuttal proposed inviting President Trump so he can explain 'extreme vetting' himself. We don't know the result of that proposal at this point. Care to venture a guess?

FARAGE RIPS VERHOFSTADT IN RADIO SHOW

Guy Verhofstadt, chair of the liberal party in the European Parliament is getting an earful from Nigel Farage during a British radio show.  Earlier he had told the BBC that the UK could expect a bill for 500 million pounds related to "settlement expenses" upon divorcing the union.

VERHOFSTADT: "EU UNDER 3 PRONGED ATTACK"

Donald Trump is now part of a three-pronged attack on the European Union, Guy Verhofstadt, one of the EU's top officials and its chief Brexit negotiator said on Monday. "I have just come back from U.S. and my view is that we have a third front that is undermining the EU... and that is Donald Trump," Verhofstadt said in a speech at Chatham House. The other two threats are coming from radicalized Islam and from Russia's Vladimir Putin, who Verhofstadt said was also trying to undermine the EU project. (Source)

TRUMP PULLS PLUG ON EUROPEAN PROJECT

DELINGPOLE: Donald Trump is Going to Make the European Union History

The more I see of the Donald Trump administration, the more I like its style. Here’s a perfect example – in which Trump’s prospective new Ambassador to the European Union, Ted Malloch, tells it like it is in an interview with Andrew Neil on the BBC’s Daily Politics show. Neil asked Malloch why on earth he’d want to be Ambassador to the EU.
AN: I mean you’re clearly not a great fan of Brussels or these bureaucrats like Juncker.
TM: Well, I had in a previous year a diplomatic post where I helped to bring down the Soviet Union, so maybe there’s another union that needs a little taming.
Later, Neil asked Malloch what he thought of the President of the EU Commission.
AN: What do you think of Mr Juncker?
TM: Well Mr Juncker was a very adequate mayor of some city in Luxembourg and maybe he should go back and do that again.
Neil laughed like a man who couldn’t believe his luck. Politicians are hardly ever this frank on TV politics shows. Diplomats even less so because supposedly it’s their job to be discreet, smooth things over, not ruffle feathers. As for the EU – no one of influence, with the exception of Nigel Farage, has ever talked about it so disparagingly on television. Yet straight-talking, EU-despising Ted Malloch is the man President Trump has chosen to represent the US in the European Union. And the reason he did this is because, as Malloch was at no pains to hide, President Trump just doesn’t like the EU:
TM: He doesn’t like an organisation that is supranational, that is unelected where the bureaucrats run amok and that is not frankly a proper democracy.
There’s a revolution going on here and I think even those of us who support Trump and Brexit are being taken aback by the speed of change. Remember that the European Union was partly the creation of the USA, which saw it as a way of keeping peace in Europe by using France as a counterweight to Germany, with a reluctant Britain as the sensible intermediary.

This is why successive US Presidents have colluded to prop up this corrupt, inefficient, anti-democratic institution. Suddenly, those days are over. The EU is finished and the new President of the USA is actively speeding its end. (Source: Delingpole on Breitbart)

The message has also penetrated the Brussels bubble. One of the greatest paragons of European integration is the Belgian liberal MEP, Guy Verhofstadt. Only months ago he could blindly rely on President Obama to lend him support against Brexit. But now...

...the tide has turned against globalism with President Trump cheerleading grassroots democracy and Government in the service of the people. Verhofstadt on the other hand wants national Governments to coerce nations into accepting European nationalism from the top down. He's made it into a moral issue.

What's more, Verhofstadt's globalist mindset lumps the EU, NATO and the UN together.

NATO however was never part of the globalist order. It is a trans Atlantic defense alliance in the service of free nations. Perhaps Mr. Verhofstadt didn't get the memo President Trump issued only three days ago.

Donald Trump BATTERS Brussels with order to STOP EU Army plans or lose US Nato support.
President Trump will demand Brussels abandons plans for an EU Army if it wants the US is to continue its support for Nato. (More)

An EU army comes at the expense of NATO, which is the reason the UK has always been against it. As it is, European countries are already not contributing their fair share. The EU project is in deep doodoo.
