IS ESCALATE TERROR PER SAVAGERY HANDBOOK

The Islamic State has released a series of videos showing beheadings of American and British hostages. With a series narrated by British journalist, John Cantlie the tactic changed. After the beheading of two Japanese hostages the downed Jordanian pilot was burnt alive. The IS ideology drives it to ever greater savagery (source).

WH STALLED RESCUE OF IS HOSTAGES UNTIL TOO LATE

The U.S. did not think British intelligence was good enough to act on and waited a month to launch a mission to rescue ISIS's hostages. By then it was too late. The U.S. government obtained intelligence on the possible location of American captives held by ISIS in Syria last year, but Obama administration officials waited nearly a month to launch a rescue mission because of concerns that the intelligence wasn’t conclusive and some of it had come from a foreign service, U.S. and British officials told The Daily Beast. British officials, as well as private security contractors, said they were frustrated by Washington’s hesitance to give the go-ahead for a rescue attempt, which eventually was carried out on July 4, 2014, by which time the hostages had been moved. The following month, ISIS began beheading its American and British prisoners in a series of grisly Internet videos. (Source)

CONFIRMED: AMERICAN IS HOSTAGE HAS DIED


26 year old Kayla Mueller from Prescott, Arizona, worked with the Danish Refugee Council and the humanitarian organization Support to Life to help refugees.

The parents of Kayla Mueller, the Arizona woman who was taken hostage by ISIS in August 2013, confirmed Tuesday their daughter died while in the hands of the terror group. "We are heartbroken to share that we've received confirmation that Kayla Jean Mueller has lost her life," Carl and Marsha Mueller, of Prescott, Ariz., said in a statement. (...) The family received information from their daughter's ISIS captors over the weekend that was authenticated (...) It is not yet known how or when 26-year-old Mueller died. ISIS claimed last week she was killed by a Jordanian airstrike, but offered no immediate evidence. (Source)

The question is, is burning a human being to death halal or haram? Those who like to separate Islam from the Islamic State emphatically say, it's unislamic. But of course 9/11 was all about people in burning buildings. And all the Caliph needed to do is issue a Fatwa. The media are helping IS to cover up their crimes

Just a word about a trend among journalists not the show the shocking and disgusting IS videos, ostensibly because that would encourage them to make more of them. It's a good example of mis identification. The videos are not propaganda. When the mob deposited a horse's head in the bed, was that an invitation to join the maffia? No, evidently not. Ludicrous. It was an act of intimidation. This isn't a sales pitch. Its purpose is to intimidate us into submission. And as far as the media are concerned, IS have succeeded beyond their dreams. The media have become IS' accomplices to cover up their crimes.

JORDAN VOWS EARTH SHATTERING RESPONSE

Finally someone got angry. It's hard to fathom why the combined forces of the world are incapable of turning the Caliphate into a parking lot. It's just been reported that Jordan is already walking back the rhetoric. Probably reigned in by Obama who labors under the doctrine that fighting terrorism causes terrorism. Jordan will execute female would-be bomber on Wednesday, security official says. (AFP)


JORDANIAN PILOT BURNT ALIVE BY ISIS

ISIS stoop to new barbarity beyond words as they release video of themselves torching captive Jordanian pilot to death in a cage. 
  • Video titled 'Healing the Believers' Chests' shows brutal murder of pilot Moaz al-Kasasbeh is filmed being burnt alive while locked in a cage.
  • He was captured in December after his jet crashed over ISIS-held territory.
  • White House condemned killing, saying it 'stands in solidarity' with Jordan.
  • Jordan has said the pilot was already brutally murdered by ISIS a month ago, on January 3. 
  • In response to sickening footage, Jordan has reportedly moved five ISIS-linked prisoners to a prison in the south of the country.
  • Kingdom released a statement saying all five would be executed tonight. (Source)

Japan Will Join Coalition After Goto Beheading

Japan has vowed to make Isis pay for its execution of hostages Kenji Goto and Haruna Yukawa, with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe saying they "will never forgive the terrorists". The release of a video on Saturday purporting to show the beheading of Goto has sent shockwaves across the country, prompting the government to heighten security measures at airports and overseas facilities following further Isis threats. (...) Earlier this week, Jordan offered to free al-Qaida prisoner Sajijda al-Rishawi for the pilot, but demanded and said it never got proof he was still alive.

Again that unwillingness to show IS for what it is, under the cover of not wanting to proliferate propaganda. The media show nothing but propaganda! The latest threat purportedly issued by the Islamic State said Jordan must present Sajida al-Rishawi at the Turkish border by dusk in Mosul in Iraq - thought to be 5.30pm (2.30pmGMT). That deadline expired amid reports talks have collapsed. No news about Kenji Goto so far.

JAPAN GOVERNMENT IN EMERGENCY MEETING RE IS HOSTAGES



Jan 24, 2015 Experts say ISIS ransom clip faked.

UPDATE: Prime Minister Shinzo Abe told reporters that the release of the new message was “an outrageous and unforgivable act. We demand their immediate release.” Kyodo News agency said the same video has been emailed to the wife of one of the hostages. ISIS had threatened on Tuesday to behead the hostages within 72 hours unless it received a $200 million ransom. PM Abe has been in touch with the king of Jordan. As this mode of operation lacks any of slick media sophistication we have seen of IS on earlier occasions, experts are seriously doubting the source of these demands.

According to reports we can't verify the Islamic State have released a still video and audio tape of one of their Japanese hostages, making new demands of Japan for his release. In the clip posted online - features only a still image and audio - journalist Kenji Goto Jogo is shown in an orange jumpsuit as a narrator claims that fellow captive Haruna Yukawa has been murdered.

Islamic State (IS)-linked Twitter accounts distributed a video in which Japanese hostage Kenji Goto Jogo stated that his fellow captive Haruna Yukawa was executed, and stipulated a new demand from the IS for his release. The 2 minute, 52 second video was distributed on January 24, 2015, after the 72-hour deadline expired that was imposed by the IS for the Japanese government to pay a $200 million ransom for the hostages’ release. According to the latest video, Jogo’s message was received by his family and the Japanese government. A still image of Jogo appears with him holding a picture of a beheaded Yukawa. He speaks in English, blaming Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe for Yukawa’s death, and telling his wife and family not to give him. He stated that the IS is now demanding the release of Sajida al-Rishawi, a female suicide bomber dispatched by al-Qaeda in Iraq to attack a hotel in Jordan in 2005. He stated: “It is simple. You give them Sajida and I will be released. At the moment, it actually looks possible and our government are indeed a stone throw away. How? Our government representatives are ironically in Jordan, where their sister Sajida is held prisoner by the Jordanian regime.”

EXPERTS SAY ORIGINAL ISLAMIC STATE HOSTAGE DEMAND IS A FAKE

While some sketchy tweets state that one of the Japanese hostages has been killed, the other forced to make further demands, it is becoming clear that the original video is a fake. According to some Islamic State released a new video with Kenji holding a photo of beheaded Haruna, saying Daesh no longer wants money, but freedom for Sajida al-Rishawi jailed in Jordan. The video however cannot be traced.

CNN has this: "Hours before the estimated deadline, an ISIS spokesman told Japanese broadcaster NHK that the group would release a statement "soon" about the hostages. That statement didn't come."
